Every Color But Blue
It’s blue.
It’s every color but blue.
It looks blue.
Yes, I know, but that’s how color
comes through to your eye.
So red is every color but red?
Exactly.
And yellow?
Is every color but yellow.
So how do we know…?
We don’t.
Do chemists?
I can’t say that I do?
Does it work with music?
Specifically?
Is “C” every note but “C?”

There’s a playful gleam
in the corner of you eye.
Nothing is as it seems.
The brain is not for thought.
The heart’s beat is
the drum that distracts.
